This assignment was done back in my Intro To 3D class, which I took a year ago (Summer 2009). It was the first time I had gotten to use Autodesk Maya for modeling, texturing, lighting, and animating. The project was to create a child's bedroom, and model a Luxo Lamp, and then animate the lamp inside the bedroom. I had a lot of fun with this project, getting to learn the program and all. It is quite basic and simple, but for my first time doing any of it, I was pretty happy with the end result.

Bouncing Ball 2D Animation
This was the first 2D, hand-drawn animated clip I made in school. We had to animate a bouncing ball, and I decided to make a little story out of it. It's very simple, but the project was just to get an idea of working with hand-drawn animation.
This animation was actually done about 6 months ago, so back towards the end of 2009.

Communications Business Plan Design
In my Principles Of Communications class, our group final was to create a whole business plan and portfolio to "present" to investors. As an Animator, my "position" was Technology and design, so I handled all the hardware/software as well as creating a mock-up design of the business. Our business was a new branch of Starbucks, that was music oriented; where each customer got their own multimedia entertainment device to use.
These images are a rough model of what the store would look like. I created a basic feel of what the store would look like, and what would be inside. I didn't go too detailed and specific with the modeling and texturing, just because we only needed a general concept design to present. All of the modeling, texturing, and lighting were done in Autodesk Maya, and the rendering was done in Mental Ray.
I may decide to go back into it at a later time, to add more detail and clean it up a bit and make it more professional looking.

Boom (3D Character Model)
This was my final character model for my Modeling 1 class. We had to fully create a whole model of a character, and I chose to make one based off of myself. Everything was created from the ground up in Autodesk Maya. Everything was modeled using polygons, and the clothes are a separate layer from the character.

Photoshop Work
These are a few self portraits I took of myself and played around with in Photoshop. I really enjoy doing photography, and then doing a lot of tweaking in Photoshop. The program is so deep, and there's so much I still don't know about it, so I try to take any time that I can and just play around and teach myself new things. All of these pictures were taken with my Nikon D3000, and edited in Adobe Photoshop.

Meteor Shower
My Animation 1 Performance Final. I've had this idea for an animation since I heard this song, so I was really excited to get to create this. The song is Meteor Shower, by Owl City. I used Autodesk Maya for everything, and MentalRay for the rendering, and Adobe After Effects for compositing. Hope you enjoy! I sure did making it.
